"The first time we saw one of these, we didn't know what to make of it. As far as we knew, it was a personnel carrier with maybe an MG-42 mounted above the cab, not much of a threat. Then, it banging away at us with the 75 mm it had mounted on the back. We backed off and hit it with two rounds of WP. We dug in there to wait for the rest of the column to catch up. Two hours later, it was still burning."
